Imagine if you will me sitting with a very ill friend. She isnt doing so good these days. Now imagine if you will me tired from a very busy shift at EMS. Did I say this county was small in a pervious post? I thought so. It's not the locals that cause the havoc it's the folks from Florida.
Ok back to the story. My friend has liver disease. Not from alcoholism or anything she done. Just is. It happens you know. Well I stumbled into her house and let her husband go to work. I laid across the bed next to her she was especially talkative. Which usually means her toxins are high from her liver.
Ok now imagine me half asleep listening to a medium tones female voice rattle ninety miles per hour about nothing because she is out of her head. I try to be patient and kind until exasperated. I answer every question she asks unless she cuts me off mid sentence to ask another one. It gets quite comical. The majority of the questions and talk centered around death and dying. I think I will share some of these questions and answers I gave.
Q.If I am dying where will I go once I die?
A. Well depends on if you have excepted Jesus as your(interruption with another question)
Q. What's it like to die?
A. I (interruption with another question)
Q. Reckon God knows I meant well?
A. I am sure (interruption with another question)
Q. I don't mean to be sick am I going to die?
A. Not today you aren't
Q. I am not ready to go yet. You think I will know when I am going to die?
A. Not sure but I reckon you(interruption with another question)
So imagine if you will those same questions being asked around 50 times each. I finally started petting her on the head and saying relax, take deep breaths, just try to rest, oh it's going to be OK . Try to relax girl just lay there and rest try to zone. ZONE she screams. I said yes what I tend to do when you talk to much I go to the Zone and tone you out. IT was quite comical. I finally did such a wonderful job toning her out I fell fast asleep. See being a mother to boys has prepared me with the ability to zone and tone.

Mother of The Year Awards.....

I was sitting here thinking about mothers in general and I have chosen the top ten that stand out in my eyes as going that extra mile for their kid(s).Following are my top choices for mother of the year and why.
10. Cami- She is a young new mother and works hard to make ends meet. She doesn't draw welfare or child support from the dad. She has been doing it alone. Kudos
9. Michelle Duggar- Just for being an awesome mom of 17 kids. Where does she get the energy?
8. Carmen- My sister for managing 3 sons being pregnant and having a high risk pregnancy while still taking care of everything with one child with ADHD and one with asburber.
7. Kim Ward- Being sick with liver failure and still being able to be there for all 3 of her sons and help raise her only grandson.
6.Daphne- Working hard with 2 sons and a daughter. Making a great life for them. While doing the entire soccer mom thing
5. Donna- For raising a set of twin sons and a daughter while working as a deputy sheriff. Doing it alone while her husband is on the road as a truck driver.
4. Jackie- For raising her own children and taking on another child when it's mother walked off and left it.
3. James- yes you read that right my best friend is not only dad but mom to. He has been raising 2 children alone for years when their mother chose drugs over them.
2 Babs- For going that extra mile for her children. For going to as many games as possible of her sons and being at as many activities as she can for her daughter.
1. Marie- My mom for raising us to do out best at all we set out to do. For always being there in the worse times of my life.
There you have it. My list of this years mothers of the year.

Gearing Up It's Cub Scout Time Again

It's Cub Scout time again~! I can't wait to see the returning scouts from last years den. I decided at the end of my first year as a den leader I wanted to stay involved. I think sometimes I must be a tad off my rocker or a gluten for punishment . But oh Lord how I love being a positive role model for younger children.
This year I have third graders. YAY~! What does this mean you may ask. It means we can do way cooler projects then when we were Wolves. Last Year we Braved eight degree weather in December just to earn our Polar Bear Patch. Rules for this patch was something in camp had to freeze besides the den leader aka me.
September We are kicking off with a bang . On the 15Th will be our first Den meeting. My den will be achieving their Religious Faith Emblem patch. The Next week on the 18Th we are going to learn different forms of helping people when faced with an emergency. Then my biggie~! On the 29Th my Den will be receiving
basic first aid/CPR training. Each child will be recognised at the next months Pack meeting for it receiving their ready man patch and a certificate of completion from the Heart to Heart CPR Instruction . (Just glad the owner
loves me to pieces or it would be costly). Thanks Cory you are the bomb
diggity as always~!
As a Den leader there is always that one child who captures your heart and you
love because they are talented , bright, and a great kid all around. Last year I had a little boy move and join us about 3 weeks into our year. This little red headed boy was the most intelligent child when it came to boats and their motors. I was truly impressed when he was able to tell me the differences between the motors and boats. He along with his mother, sister, and baby brother did my heart good. I am thrilled that he is returning this year to my den.
Several others stand out as well. Like my den's demon spawn child. I swore to all that is holy that child made me cringe. He was kind of like that kid from Dennis the Mennis but he to had red hair. Now multiply that mental image of redheaded Dennis by a thousand and that would be our demon spawn child.
My ADHD scout ran circles around me. I stayed busy with him. But in general he was a great kid. Then there is the DEN LEADERS SON. He had a great time was a good kid on all our outings. That little man will make a fine Scout Leader when he grows up. I hope he does the same for his sons that I have done with him.
There is no greater honor as a parent than your own child asking you not once but two years running to please be his Den Leader. *Sniff* My baby boy loves me.
Stay tuned for updates of my year as a Den Leader .

Assistance Please
I have been searching for one particular song for over 10 years.
It is an old country song. I don't know who sings it. I just scarcely
remember some of the lyrics. It something about a mother rocking
her baby in a rocking chair one last time.
The only part I can remember hearing is "Rock my baby" It is done
by a female singer. I was told it was Tammy Wynette. But haven't found
anything by her that even resembles the lyrics.
Please if anyone has a song or knows of the song that it might be please leave a message on comment here for me.
It means a lot to me. I need your assistance please.
